Easthill is a major transit-oriented, purpose-built rental community being developed by Epta Development Corp. in partnership with OpenForm Properties at the northeast corner of Renfrew Street and East Broadway in Vancouver.

The project will deliver 339 secured market rental homes across a 31-storey residential tower and a six-storey mixed-use building, complemented by more than 6,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial and retail space.

Located approximately five minutes from Renfrew SkyTrain Station, Easthill will introduce
significant new rental housing in a highly connected location while adding new shops, services
and amenities to the surrounding Renfrew-Collingwood community.

Construction commenced in 2026.

Location

Easthill occupies an approximately 35,000-square-foot site spanning the east side of Renfrew Street between East Broadway and East 8th Avenue.

Its location provides residents with convenient access to the Millennium Line at Renfrew Station, employment centres throughout Vancouver and the Broadway corridor, while the nearby Broadway Tech Centre provides a significant employment hub immediately south of the project.

With rapid transit, cycling infrastructure, neighbourhood services and employment all within close proximity, Easthill has been designed around the principles of connected, transit-oriented urban living.

Project Details

Easthill will provide 339 purpose-built rental homes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom residences, creating a diverse mix of housing suitable for individuals, couples and families.

The two residential buildings will be connected below grade and will offer residents access to a comprehensive shared amenity program including fitness facilities, rooftop social spaces and other indoor and outdoor gathering areas.

Ground-floor commercial space along Renfrew Street and East Broadway will help animate the street and contribute new retail and services to the neighbourhood.

The project has been designed by Studio One Architecture and incorporates extensive bicycle storage and reduced reliance on private vehicles, reflecting its location within a short walk of rapid transit.

A New Chapter for Renfrew-Collingwood

Easthill represents the evolution of a site assembled by EDC in 2018 and reflects a long-term commitment to delivering meaningful new housing supply in Vancouver.

Following the City of Vancouver’s adoption of the Rupert and Renfrew Station Area Plan, the site was able to accommodate substantially greater density appropriate to its proximity to rapid transit. The updated planning framework enabled Easthill to evolve into a larger and more
economically sustainable purpose-built rental community.

Easthill is the first development to be approved and break ground under the new Rupert and Renfrew Station Area Plan, marking an important early step in the transformation envisioned for the area.

For EDC and OpenForm Properties, the project represents an opportunity to deliver rental housing at meaningful scale while contributing to the creation of a more complete, connected and vibrant neighbourhood.
